Stewart Island: Ferry Service Between Bluff & Stewart Island
- Duration: 1 hour
It was a lovely day and the whole trip was very enjoyable. Picnic lunch was also great. However, the bus driver was very annoying on the way there. Although he did drive the bus well, and gave some interesting information, he seemed to think it was necessary to make silly racist jokes about Australians and give unwanted opinions about Auckland, politics and suchlike. The trip back was much better as he had far less to say.
The trip was amazing, the scenery spectacular and the captain of the boat was very knowledgeable. It was raining although the rain stopped before the trip ended but the added rain made the waterfalls spectacular and getting so close to them in the boat was awesome. You do need a raincoat and insect repellant but the trip is sooo worth taking. Beautiful NZ.
Travelling with my wee one with ASD is bit complicated good thing even though she got melt down while waiting .some might judge her i know beacuse some are looking at us pretty annoyed.but we still manage to enjoy it. Crews were quiet friendly.
It was good. Wished we could get off the boat for 10 minutes just for a change. Rather being on the water the whole way thru. Overall good little cruise on the lake.
Great from start to finish, comfortable van to travel down to Milford lots of photo stops, enjoyable lunch couldn’t fault it great driver worth every penny
