Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Visit The New York Botanical Garden with a Garden Pass. America's premier garden has characterized the landscape of the northeast since its founding in 1891. Summer brings flowering abundance to the 60 gardens and plant collections, and fall creates a riot of color in the native forest. Winter welcomes a peaceful landscape featuring stately conifers, while spring celebrates the promise of a new season with flowering cherries, magnolias, daffodils, and more. See the award-winning Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden and Native Plant Garden. Immerse yourself in stunning seasonal landscapes at this National Historic Landscape. Your Garden Pass includes admission to the outdoor gardens and collections. In summer 2021, experience Yayoi Kusama’s profound connection with nature. Kusama, a contemporary Japanese artist is one of the world's most popular artists. Exclusively at NYBG, Kusama reveals her lifelong fascination with the natural world, beginning with her childhood spent in the greenhouses and fields of her family’s seed nursery. Her artistic concepts of obliteration, infinity, and eternity are inspired by her intimate engagement with the colors, patterns, and life cycles of plants and flowers.

Kept getting asked to see mobile pass at each separate exhibit & told I should go back to front of park/garden to get a printed ticket. Some exhibits didn’t want to let us in without going to the front of the garden to verify the mobile ticket. There was no way we were doing that, so they let us in. Why use mobile tickets if they want printed ones?

Very crowded - but very good orchid show.

It was crowded but the blossoms were beautiful. More attention needs to be paid to the crowds waiting for the trolleys. There was an unusually long wait time 30 plus minutes between the Rides and the staff were very sarcastic. Granted it was around 3.30, so perhaps they were tired!

First time I visited the NYBG and it was such a nice experience. The exhibits were amazing. It makes you feel your in a different world while your exploring. (You don’t feel like your in the city). I liked it so much, I signed up for the membership. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Food was tasty and fresh. I would definitely recommend NYBG to my friends and family.
